22 March. So here I am, back from Wales. At home in the best place to live in Britain, apparently. But I could of told you that. It's why I chose to be born here. And to live here since 1972. But don't let me fool you into thinking there's smugness in that fact...
...for today I'm mostly thinking about the terrible events in Brussels. My reflections on taking breakfast there. And thinking that the world can only become a better place once we all choose to tread a little more lightly upon this earth.
17 March. Well, here we are: a complete change of scene. Today finds me in Wales hiring a bike from Mike at Dolgellau Cycles and cycling The Mawddach Trail to Barmouth and back. With a leisurely lunch in the sunshine along the way. If you ever find yourself in this part of Wales, you should do the same.
7 March. Just a couple of short bursts today, since the big bike has been in for it's big service (the annual one). So I'm now set up for the year ahead: including Bristol to Reading in May, largely alongside the Kennet & Avon canal (I've already booked the accommodation for that one). And I'm hoping to do a little burst in Wales next week, weather and Dolgellau Cycles permitting.
4 March. There are some pretty funky bus shelters around these parts. You don't see many of these in Charing Cross Road. It was forecast to be skies like these all day today (at least in this part of the country), so I wasn't quite prepared for the snow flurry:
