Photo half inched under CC 2.0 from Mike Baird - I hope he doesn't mind.
I must say that I'm rather enjoying the minimalism of the letters I love series - I hope you are too. If nothing else, it does help to remind us of why we became designers and typographers in the first place. And helps us also, I think, to consider again typefaces that we might have abandoned years or decades ago (Cooper Black in my case).
But you might have wondered what's happened to me whilst all of this single-image posting is going on. Well, I'm still here, but I am trying out a little experiment. And that's to spend as little time in front of my computer as possible. Because it's been at the centre of my working life for the past 20 years (not the same computer, obviously). But I want take a little time out to reconsider our relationship. So, it's a sort of a breather, really. Nothing to get alarmed about. And I'll let you know if I eventually decide to put the thing (and all it's peripherals) on eBay. Although I think that's pretty unlikely.
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the alphabet. And if you fancy making a guest post while I'm ruminating, drop me an email - david (at) studiohyde.com.
Now where did I put the secateurs?
