There are some great suggestions for French designers that we ought to know about from Loïc and Anne in the comments over on the right. I'm in a rush today, so I've only had chance of a cursory look myself. But what I will say is that there's lots of very nice, very charming and very French design there, but nothing that exceeds Cassandre.
But give the French their due: they do give us the best food and the best fashion in the world; and some might say the best cinema. But they also gave us the great Eurotrash.
Always at it's best when it was co-presented by Antoine de Caunes and Jean-Paul Gaultier. And, if nothing else, it taught the English not to be afraid of nudity.
