if the invader comes

Invasion_ww2

One of the wonderful things about the internet is just how easy it easy to make connections - and to discover stuff that otherwise might remain unknown to you. I was just checking AceJet170 this morning and Richard's posted a little side item about a Jan Tschichold exhibition at the St Bride Library (worth a visit, I would say). So over to St Bride I go and start having a little bit of a root around: it's the sort of thing I do, and I'm always especially interested in external links. So, this leads me to The Ephemera Society where I discover a fascinating article by Diana Mackarill called Invasion! And then I remember that Alistair over at we made this is always picking up really interesting stuff at Ephemera Society fairs. The next one (actually it's a bazaar, not a fair) is this coming Sunday at The Bonnington Hotel, London WC1 (details here). If you happen to be in London on Sunday, that has to be worth £2 of anyone's money.

See, just look at all those connections.
