I've mentioned before my admiration for, and fascination with, Dutch design. Simply because it's so much more adventurous than we're allowed to be here in the UK. And I say that because the process and outcome of design depends upon the interaction between designer and client, and adventurous work requires not just adventurous designers, but also adventurous clients. As Gert Dunbar once said "The genius of Dutch design is born from its geographic flatness".
